museums and cultural spaces
In addition to the public work below, I have worked on several projects that are either still in development or have been indefinitely suspended. Those include:
- Creative direction: winning a design competition for a new, sports-focused museum in the Middle East
- Guest experience: a landmark new facility combining real-time space research with formal and informal education
- Creative direction: a $1.4M exhibit integrating experiential sound installations into a science museum
- Associate creative direction: district-scale reimagining of a beloved European brand home, concepting how a cultural landmark could anchor a mixed-use neighborhood of shops, pubs, entertainment venues, and residences, with a refreshed focus on technology and entertainment.

At Space Center Houston, I was navigating a room that had two distinct priorities. On one hand there was huge enthusiasm for an immersive guest experience that could take people by surprise and bring the community in. On the other: a dedication to world-class, uncompromising educational standards.
The crux of my work was showing that these things aren't mutually exclusive.
Throughout my presentations, I led with the exciting, experiential content first, then paused as we moved through the space, step-by-step, to name the learning embedded inside it. I called it 'hiding the vegetables,' and it was a refreshingly effective way for everyone to see that well-executed style contains multitudes of substance.

audience talkbacks and community involvement

My museum work is grounded in years of building trust between arts organizations and the communities they serve.
In theater, this takes the shape of post-show talkbacks, where cast and crew open the floor to audience members for frank, open conversations. In teaching residencies, it's learning about the students' world: their cultural references, their worries, and their excitement. Both practices are foundational to my emphasis on guest-centered experience design. |

Kennedy space center
I wrote interpretive content for Kennedy Space Center's interactive satellite and space probe wall, covering missions, histories, and dizzying facts from the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope to the Voyager Golden Record.
