All audience members had their palms stamped with an 8-pointed star, which corresponds to The Girl's mysterious birthmark.
At the end of the play, The Girl discovers her magical powers and her birthmark begins to glow (thanks to embedded battery-operated fairy lights).  Lighting designer Heather Gilbert is lit by The Girl's hand

I had four days and $50 to build a life-size whale (oh - and it needed to travel in a Honda Civic).
